How can I get to Musandam? Which border should I take?
We recommend taking the main Musandam border post from Ras Al Khaimah.

Do I need a visa to enter Oman?
Depending on what passport you hold, there are various visa requirements.
We recommend you get an e-Visa ahead of your visit to ensure no delays at the border post.
If you wish, consult with a travel agency to obtain a visa - the charges will amount to an average of ±AED150.
What are the vehicle requirements to crossing borders and driving through Oman?
When traveling through land borders, we recommend driving a car registered under your name. If you are driving a car with someone else’s name, you must obtain a “No Objection Certificate (NOC)” from the owner.
Musandam borders require the car to be fully owned without a loan. Otherwise, a bank letter may be required. There are special requests for ownership letters from RTA in some applicable cases. It is best to check ahead of driving to the border.
Ensure the car has a valid registration card and insurance.

(± AED60 to AED120)It is possible to drive a rental car across the border if communicated with the agency and you have a NOC.

Camping
Where is the base camp?
The base camp location is located in the mountains of Musandam. All registered participants will receive the coordinate through email. In the meantime, you can estimate a 3-4 hour drive from the UAE to the campsite.
How is the road to the base camp?
We recommend a 4-wheel drive for a better experience. Basic driving skills are required as the roads are mountain routes. Please avoid arriving in a sedan.
How is the camping experience organized?
We are hosting a communal bonfire at the camp spot that we can share. Every team can contribute with wood.
All participants will be required to set up their own camps including tents, seating, and food supply.
Arrival at base camp begins at 4 pm on 14 February.
Late arrivals are not preferred but if you must, please be considerate of others’ space.
What facilities are available?
The Unbound by Wander 2025 Oman is a camping experience. There will be no facilities for use (ie. no bathrooms). The nearest facilities will be almost an hour away.

When will we receive the base camp location?
All registered participants will receive the coordinate through email.
How are we going to get the location coordinates?
Similarly to the Unbound that takes place in the UAE, all registered teams will receive a set of coordinates that will take you on a journey of connectivity, community, and culture. The coordinates will only be distributed on the morning of the event.
How long will the experience last?
After your team has collected the coordinates, the experience can last until sunset.
Will other teams be on the journey with us?
Absolutely.
Will we camp again another night?
We are camping 14 February and 15 February with departure on 16 February.
